Discussion materials

We encourage everyone to watch the Yksittäistapaus films and get to know the method of constructive dialogue!

The discussion material created by the Yksittäistapaus campaign and the Timeout Foundation help you have constructive dialogue about the film and to see things from a new perspective. Each film has its own discussion material.

The films and the related discussion materials can be used by working communities, universities, schools and other organisations as well as for independent studying.

The discussion method works best in small groups, sitting in circle, with a maximum of approximately ten people. A discussion is best held face-to-face but it can also be successful through remote connections.

Timeout is always a facilitated discussion. The facilitator will take care of the constructiveness of the discussion. The discussion material helps the facilitator invite also the ones who do not usually take part in conversations.

Timeout breeds a feeling of inclusion between the participants and in societal inclusion in general. Moreover, it provides a deeper understanding of the topic in question and of different perspectives. At best, it generates unpredictable insights and new thinking. The goal is not unanimity.

For educational purposes, discussions can also be organised for more than 10 people, if necessary. In this context, educational purposes refer to pre-primary and primary education, general upper secondary education and free-of-charge education leading to a vocational upper secondary qualification. No fees can be collected from participants for using the dialogue method and screening the Yksittäistapaus films without the permission of Tuffi Films Oy.

If you wish to organise a Yksittäistapaus screening for more than 20 people at your workplace, for instance, and your operations are not included in the above-mentioned educational purposes, please contact the production company Tuffi Films.

The Yksittäistapaus film series can be ordered for a cinema, for instance, for a fee.

Tuffi Films would love to hear what you see differently after having seen the film. Share your insights here!
